Investigadores del
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) han diseñado un microscopio que genera videos de células en tres dimensiones.
Este nuevo invento funciona como un escáner y permitirá a los científicos saber cómo se comportan las células en tiempo real con un gran nivel de detalle.
Las células no pueden ser examinadas por un microscopio tradicional porque no éstas no absorben mucho la luz visible, y este nuevo avance del MIT pudo descubrir cómo ellas la refractan.
El microscopio crea imágenes en tres dimensiones combinando muchas fotografías de una célula tomadas desde distintos ángulos.
