Una botella de Kleines una superficie no orientable que no tiene ni interior ni exterior. Una botella de Klein es una superficie sin lÃmites al igual que una esfera pero a diferencia de esta, la botella no es orientable.
La botella de Klein fue concebida en 1882 por el matemático alemán Christian Felix Klein.Kleinoriginalmente denominó a su descubrimiento como "superficie de Klein" Kleinsche Fläche en alemán, sin embargo la expresión fue mal traducida como "botella de Klein" quizá debido al parecidocon "Kleinsche Flasche", el error lingüÃstico ha perdurado hasta hoy y parece que no cambiará ya que existe otro concepto con el mismo nombre, el de "superficie de Klein" equivalente al de la "superficie de Reiman".
