Un equipo de investigadores de la Universidad de Quilmes descubrieron, a través de sus estudios, un nuevo uso para la famosa droga y se hicieron merecedores de un premio entregado por la Universidad de Harvard.
De esta manera, esta droga, cuyo nombre es sildenafil, podría utilizarse para contrarrestar el trastorno conocido como “jet lag”, que comúnmente sufren individuos acostumbrarse a viajar en avión a diferentes latitudes del planeta, y puede utilizarse en el tratamiento de la adaptación circadiana a cambios ambientales.
El equipo de investigadores de la Universidad de Quilmes fue dirigido por Diego Golombek e integrado por Patricia Agostino y Santiago Plano, pertenecientes al Laboratorio de Cronobiología de esa casa de altos estudios, informó el sitio de noticias de Página 12.
Por este descubrimiento, este grupo de investigadores argentinos fueron galardonados con uno de los premios “Anti Nobel”, que todos los años entrega la Universidad de Harvard, en los Estados Unidos.
